AMU Math 125 Unit test 7

Students are introduced to the tools associated with data gathering and analysis. This important area of math allows researchers from all disciplines to collect and analyze data to make inferences about populations as a whole. The result of this research may be the approval of new life-saving medications, the confirmation of phenomena such as global warming, or the rate at which a flu epidemic will grow. S Students also learn how to use the building blocks of the data gathering and analysis process to solve complex issues that surround your daily life. Students learn the power of the normal distribution and how it aids in the study of numerous areas such as medicine, meteorology, business, or education.

Students will be able to:

Compute measures of average, variation and position.
Use the characteristics of a normal distribution to find percentages, probabilities, and percentile ranks.
