Week 4 Forum Math 125 American Military University

#1

Look over the concepts that we have studied so far. You will find them embedded in the following chapters:

Chapter 1 - Problem Solving
Chapter 2 - Sets and Set Operations
Chapter 6 - Algebra I
Chapter 7 - Algebra II
Chapter 8 - Consumer Math
Chapter 9 - Measurement
Chapter 10 - Geometry I

Find one concept (for instance, solving word problems using equations or constructing Venn diagrams) and "in your own words" describe/explain the concept and why it is your favorite. You may also want to give an example of how you can use the concept in a meaningful way in your everyday life.

Instructions: Your initial post should be at least 250 words. Please respond to at least 2 other students. Your responses should help develop discussion around the topic that your classmate has selected. Responses should be a minimum of 100 words and may include direct questions.

Initial Post Due: Thursday, by 11:55pm, ET
Responses Due: Sunday, by 11:55pm, ET
